How to Reach Us
Email us at contact@legaljournal.net. Messages go straight to the people who maintain the site — there is no contact form and no ticketing system in between.
We read every message and aim to answer most within two business days. Correction reports are handled first.
Corrections and Updates
Our guides link to official court portals, judiciary sites, and law libraries, and those move and change without warning. If you find a dead link, a renamed portal, or a factual error anywhere on the site, we want to know. A useful correction report includes three things:
- the URL of the Legal Journal page with the problem,
- what you believe is wrong or out of date, and
- if you have it, the official source (a court or government page) showing the correct information.
How we verify and apply corrections is described in our editorial policy. Substantive fixes are made on the affected page itself.
What We Can't Help With
We are a reference site, not a law firm, so there are things we cannot do no matter how we are asked:
- Legal advice. We cannot tell you whether you have a case, interpret a ruling for your situation, or recommend what to do. See our legal disclaimer for why, and for how to find a licensed attorney through your state bar.
- Retrieving records for you. We host no court records and cannot look cases up on your behalf. Our guides show you which official portal to search and how.
- Removing or sealing court records. Records are held by courts, not by us. Sealing or expungement goes through the court that holds the record.
Please do not send details of a legal matter. Messages to us are not confidential and do not create an attorney-client relationship.
Media and Partnership Inquiries
Media questions about the site or its research can be sent through the same channel. One thing worth stating plainly: we do not sell links, publish sponsored posts, or accept payment for placement in our directories. Every resource we list, from the Legal Journal homepage down to the state pages, is there because it is an official or authoritative source, and no pitch will change that.
